2020 Subaru Forester 2.5i-L S5 MY20 AWD

This 2020 Subaru Forester MY20 2.5i-L (AWD) is a mid-spec version of Subaru?s fifth-generation Forester, positioned above the base model and below the higher luxury trims. It uses a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder ?boxer? engine with direct fuel injection, producing about 136 kW of power and 239 Nm of torque. This is paired with Subaru?s Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) and the brand?s full-time all-wheel drive system, which is one of its key selling points. Fuel consumption is around 7.4 L/100 km combined in Australian testing, depending on driving conditions and specification. Performance is moderate rather than sporty, with 0?100 km/h taking roughly 9?10 seconds. It is tuned more for smooth everyday driving and traction than acceleration. The MY20 Forester is a five-seat SUV with a strong focus on practicality. It has about 498 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, expanding to over 1,700 litres with the seats folded. Ground clearance is high at about 220 mm, which makes it suitable for rough roads, gravel, and light off-road use. The 2.5i-L trim includes a good level of standard equipment such as Subaru?s EyeSight driver assistance suite, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, autonomous emergency braking, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a multi-function touchscreen. Exact features can vary slightly depending on market and options. In terms of driving character, it is comfortable, stable, and very secure in wet or uneven conditions due to the AWD system. The trade-off is that the engine is not particularly powerful and the CVT can feel rubbery under hard acceleration. Common ownership considerations include CVT servicing, fuel economy being reasonable but not class-leading, and generally higher road noise compared to some rivals. Overall, it is a practical, safety-focused AWD SUV that prioritises reliability, visibility, and everyday usability over performance or luxury. COME MEET OUR TEAM ! ! !
