Farm Equipment Buying Guide: Tractors, Headers & More

Whether you're buying your first tractor or upgrading your harvesting setup, this guide covers what to look for, how to compare prices, and how to finance agricultural machinery in Australia.

Australian farmers know that the right equipment at the right price can transform an operation. But with new gear costing hundreds of thousands — sometimes millions — buying used is how most agricultural businesses stay profitable.

This guide covers tractors, headers, sprayers, balers, and other farm machinery: what to look for, what to avoid, and how to get the best deal.
